What do you choose: electric, induction or gas hobs?

The stove is a central element of every kitchen where food is prepared. And with the passage of time and the rapid development of the home appliance market, the options are endless. Today, choosing a stove has become a real challenge. And that’s because there are too many options!

You can choose to buy a regular gas stove or you can also opt for an electric stove or an induction model. Nutrition is, therefore, a first aspect to take into consideration. That’s why I decided to make this article.

Hobs are increasingly preferred over traditional gas stoves, and the reasons are easy to understand. Hobs offer advantages such as:

  • They are safer:
  • Their design is much more attractive and modern;
  • They are very easy to clean.

However, when purchasing a stove, you will have to take into account many criteria, including power supply. As the title of our article clearly states, the power supply can be current, induction or gas.

If you are also wondering what choice you should make, then you are in the right place. Here is the ideal choice depending on your needs:

Electric hobs

Electric hobs can be radiant or halogen. Regardless of the model chosen, it will have a glass-ceramic surface, which is why they can also be known as glass-ceramic hobs.

This material is appreciated for its resistance to high temperatures and above all for the fact that it can be very easy to clean. Furthermore, if you opt for an electric stove with touch buttons, cleaning it will be a breeze.

As for the operating system, it is very simple. Electricity is used to heat an element which will transmit the heat to the glass ceramic surface. You can therefore use classic crockery, but there is also a problem: electric hobs can become very hot, and therefore there are risks of accidents.

Induction hobs

As for induction hobs, they are quite similar to electric ones. And this is because they use electricity to work, except that in the case of induction hobs you won’t be able to use any type of cookware. You’ll need to make sure your cookware is compatible for induction use, and if it’s not, you’ll need to buy another one.

The peculiarity of induction cookware is the fact that there is an electric circuit on the bottom which facilitates heating.

The main advantage is that the dishes only heat up locally, so the rest of the hob will remain cold. However, there are adapters with which you can also use old dishes.

Furthermore, induction hobs are even easier to clean than glass-ceramic models.

In addition, the food will be heated evenly, so cooking will take less time, which will surely delight you.

The temperature can be set precisely, which helps to achieve excellent results when cooking.

They are safer, so you should consider our range of induction hobs and why not buy one yourself.

Gas hobs

Finally, we have gas stoves. Their big advantage is the affordable price, so if you want an economical stove, you should consider gas models.

However, they are difficult to clean, so you will have a lot of work to do every time you want to make your gas stove look new.

It will also be more difficult to set a specific temperature. Furthermore, they are not as safe as the models indicated above, requiring a series of precautions, a gas sensor with solenoid valve and frequent checks.

As a result, maintenance costs are a disadvantage to consider.

However, flame cooking has its advantages. The flavor of food can be better, so gas stoves should also not be ignored.

These are, therefore, the 3 most important types of built-in hobs. No matter which type you decide to choose, you will certainly find more models in the Demax offer, so we invite you to discover it.
