Regardless of the season we are in, the air conditioner proves to be of great help. You can install it in any room and then it will give us the thermal comfort that we so need. In the summer the air conditioner will cool the rooms, while in the winter it will help heat them.
It is therefore a real help and every house should be equipped with an air conditioner. But how and above all which model of air conditioner to choose?
You will find the answers in the following lines. We have prepared advice for you that will help you choose the air conditioner, but also advice not to ignore.
How to choose the air conditioner
First of all, if you have decided to buy an air conditioner, it is important to choose it correctly. It must be equipped with the technical specifications you need, and from this point of view you should look for the following features:
- the price of the device;
- warranty period;
- energy efficiency class;
- the filtration system;
- cooling capacity;
- device size;
- the space to be cooled/heated.
In general, air conditioners are chosen based on the size of the room and above all the cooling needs. But how to calculate the amount of air conditioning needed?
Let’s say you have a 25m2 room. For this you should use an air conditioner with a capacity of 12,000 BTU. If the room is much larger, around 40 m2, it will be necessary to use a more powerful air conditioner. You will most likely choose an 18,000 BTU model.
Finally, find out that there are also vacuum cleaners with a capacity of 21,000 BTU. They can be used in environments larger than 40 m2.
In short, we must tell you that each square meter requires at least 20 BTUs for cooling to be effective. However, do not forget that windows, doors and insulation may require a larger capacity, since in their area there is heat transfer.
Type of air conditioner
Air conditioners can be of different types, as you can see:
- Split type models: these devices consist of a unit equipped with a compressor, which will be mounted outside, and a device mounted inside which will distribute the conditioned air;
- Inverter Air Conditioners: Inverter technology is very popular nowadays. This is because the speed of the compressor can vary, and this way it will more easily maintain the optimal temperature. Energy consumption is lower in the case of inverter air conditioners, which is why you should also consider them;
- Air conditioners based on heat pumps: in the case of these devices we are talking about a reversal of the operating cycle, i.e. they can produce both hot and cold air;
- Window air conditioners;
- Portable air conditioners.
What type of device will you choose? Haven’t decided yet? You should see the 3 device models we recommend:
1. Daewoo DAC-12CHSDB air conditioner
The Daewoo DAC-12CHSDB air conditioner has a cooling capacity of 12,000 BTU, higher energy efficiency class and also Wi-Fi technology.
It is equipped with an inverter type compressor, so you will have low energy consumption. It has several intelligent sensors and heating function. Therefore it is possible to use it even in winter if the heating system cannot cope.
When you want low consumption you can use the ECO operating mode. It has a very good price so it’s worth buying too.
2. Daewoo DAC-09CHSDW air conditioner

If you don’t need a large cooling capacity, you can also opt for a 9000 BTU air conditioner. In this case you will be able to take advantage of various functions, such as WI-Fi technology.
This model is also equipped with inverter technology, the function I feel and environmentally friendly. It can be used for heating and has a built-in smart display that provides various important details.
Furthermore, it has silver ion filters, which means that the air inside will be perfectly clean of bacteria.
3. Vortex air conditioner VAI1222FA
Finally we also have the Vortex VAI1222FA air conditioner. It has a cooling capacity of 12000 BTU and an excellent efficiency class. Furthermore, it is equipped with an inverter and includes the installation kit, for easy installation.
It is ideal for environments with surfaces of up to 20 m2, has a HEPA filter system and dehumidification function.
These are, therefore, the 3 air conditioners to take into consideration. What air conditioner do you use?
