I find his style extremely interesting and remarkable. It’s just a little difficult to find an online store where you can order your “wearable” fashion. Finally, something special for cold winter days: the hand woven scarves in the fantastic models of the Estonian textile designer MARE KELPMAN. I have been selling Mare wool blankets in the shop for years and am always happy with everyone who buys such a cozy blanket, clearly made with love. But Mare’s great passion is fashion. He designs coats, linen suits and scarves for men and women with a great sense of style.
For her, it is extremely important not to produce too much to reduce the impact on the environment. This means that every year it releases two new collections in small quantities and once sold, no more copies are produced. The second argument: their fashion products are not available in any online store. I spoke to Mare for this post and asked her how to best source her scarves. Since the selection of available scarves often varies (depending on the type of fabrics you are currently weaving), he recommends writing an EMAIL to the store employee. The employee is invited to take a photo of the momentary selection and accept the order via email. The prices of the scarves are around €125, but vary slightly depending on the size. The scarves are made from 100% wool dyed with natural dyes on an old Dornier loom by the designer herself.
