Room fragrances support our mental well-being, but they also have an optical effect: decorative bottles, bowls with scented sticks, room sprays or scented sachets bring a feeling of home well-being into otherwise monotonous everyday life.

WHAT IS A HOME PERFUME AND WHAT IS IT FOR?
Room fragrances are available in a wide variety of olfactory blends, with very different contents and materials. They have a pleasantly relaxing effect in the living room and bedroom, neutralize odors in the bathroom and toilet and, depending on the composition, can also be used to promote concentration in the office.
The scents of the environments trigger different reactions in our body, because we perceive perfumes particularly well through smell and skin. An (ambient) perfume primarily addresses our subconscious and can therefore have a lasting influence on our mood. A suitable room scent can help us relax after a stressful day at work or help us gain new energy with revitalizing essences.
WHAT TO PAY ATTENTION TO WHEN BUYING A HOME PERFUME?
Since we absorb ambient scents directly through our respiratory tract and scents enter our body through the mucous membranes, it is very important to ensure that the quality of the ambient scent is as natural as possible. According to some studies, l industrial sandalwood scent
unhealthy and can even be carcinogenic. Any industrial chemicals present in room sprays, diffusers or even scented candles can be harmful to our health. Although almost every second household in Germany uses a room perfume, the majority of perfumes are still purchased in supermarkets, which usually only have industrially produced room perfumes in their assortment with correspondingly low prices.
Artificial fragrances can trigger asthma or cause contact allergies on the skin. The affected person often notices an allergic reaction through inflammatory and reddish skin reactions, which usually manifest themselves as itching, blistering or peeling. Particularly problematic are safrole, methyl eugenol or estragole, which can be contained in perfume oils.
The possible negative effects of artificial room fragrances on our health should be reason enough to switch to high-quality natural products that we can breathe and enjoy with a clear conscience.
THE BEST HOME PERFUMES
There are different types of air fresheners:
Raumduft diffuser they usually come in glass bottles and with 3-5 thin wooden sticks. The sticks are placed in the opened bottles and turned regularly to continuously intensify the scent in the room. The humidity is increased by a room air diffuser, which mainly improves the room atmosphere. However, if you want professional air humidification, a diffuser is not quite suitable because the water vapor output is too low.
Scented candles
They also have a relaxing effect, but only for the duration of use. Again the choice is wide and also in this case it is important to ensure that the content is as natural as possible. They are also good alternatives to traditional air fresheners or scented candles organic essential oilswhich spread a fragrant atmosphere in scented lamps, heated by candles. However, pure essential oils should not be used on the skin as they can have an irritating effect. If you like everything natural, you can create your own natural perfume, for example in winter with pine branches or oranges studded with cloves.
ROOM PERFUMES FOR LIVING ROOMS AND BEDROOMS
We spend the best hours of the day in the living room. Room scents are a good way to enjoy this moment with all your senses and to feel more at ease.
